Thanks for the OPR information, I know they are difficult to read as
I have read the Eckford records and many more.
Banns for John Balmer of Ancrum and Mary Jordan, should read Jerdan,
which is now written Jardine,but
was still pronounced Jerdan by the locals when I lived there. Might
help folk who are new and researching this name.
