Ashkirk ROX
Isabella worked in a wool factory.
marr 2 in Ladhope ROX
Spouse 2 John AFFLECK, a dairyman & slubber (son of Robert AFFLECK & Janet
MASON)
Children of marr 2:
1. Janet Mason AFFLECK, born 5 October 1872 at 43 Queen Street in
Galashiels, Selkirk. Janet Mason was married at 20 years of age at her home
in Burn Cottage, Mill Street in Selkirk, according to the United
Presbyterian Church. Janet married Andrew SCOTT, son of Robert SCOTT and
Elizabeth HALDINE. He lived in the Buccleuch Buildings in Selkirk at the
time of his marriage and was a woollen factory foreman.
2. James AFFLECK, born 3 September 1875 at Burn Cottage, The Green, in
Selkirk. Sadly, James died at the age of 10 months from seizures, which he
had suffered from for 2 days. He died at Burn Cottages on The Green in
Selkirk
Isabella died, aged 66, on 13 March 1901 at Muthag Street, Selkirk, of
cardiac failure and epithelima of the brain and other organs.
John died on 14 February 1916 at 4 a.m. at 4a Mavisbank in Selkirk of senile
decay. She was 82. The informant was his son-in-law, Andrew SCOTT
