My thanks, too, for pointing out this site.
Tony is (as ever!) correct about the identity of Willie Robertson. His
parents were married in Leith and he and his two brothers, Gilbert (my
grandfather) and David Gordon were born there but the family returned to
Shetland in the 1890s. Willie lived in King Harald Street. His mother was
originally from Collafirth, Delting and his father from Grunnafirth, North
Nesting.
