Indeed they were from Shetland. Gideon and Thomas were brothers (or so I
think). They were the sons of James Halcrow and Jean Manson (1801-1876). In
1881 they were living at 3 Copperfield Street, Toxteth Park.

Not sure if Amelia married a Shetlander though.
