Hello fellow listmembers:
Peter McCallum married Ann Marion or Marion Robertson
on 24 Feb 1809 in Falkirk, Stirling, Scotland.
Their children are baptized and showing in the Parish
Registers FHL304668 of Falkirk.
I have just extracted the Robertsons from the Old
Parochial Parish Registers of Falkirk 1744-1788:
baptisms. I am not quite finished with the film.
There are few McCallums in these records.
Were there McCallums heavy in another parish in
Stirling?
Is anyone on the list working on Robertsons in
Stirling?
Peter and his children removed to Ontario, Canada
sometime in the 1830's. It is believed that his wife
and their mother died before he and the children left
for Ontario.
In the 1841 Falkirk census, there is a manuscript "I"
following some of the names. What does that mean?
Also I searched this census years ago and am not
positive but believe the "yes" following a name
indicates the individual was born in that parish. Is
that correct?
Thanks so very much.
ljm
