You can access census records (1881,1891,and1901 currently) at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk This is the web site for New Register House records. It costs a little bit but I have found a lot of information there.

You can also visit your local LDS Family History Center and order any Scottish census (and other records) that you want. This costs a small amount of money but is worth the effort.

www.freecen.rootsweb.com has some census records online but it only covers some areas of Scotland and is mainly 1841 and 1851
