Hi there,

I take it then that there are no documents to say that she was born at the castle - it is just a piece of information that has been passed through the family?

I will see what I can dig up. I have no idea when it ceased to be occupied. I know it was in use as a barracks during the Napoleonic wars, but after that I am not sure when it was passed over to the authorities.
