Hi Leo,

Looking back at my transcription, I see why you were confused about
William.
I like to transcribe as near as possible word for word, and that's what was
written. The trouble is, I should have explained the context, as its not
obvious for that one record in isolation.

The 'Mark' was a heading, meaning that the birth, (and presumably also the
baptism), was at Mark, being one of the farms in the parish of Leswalt.
'William' was the name given to the child.

Regards,
Bruce

Hi Bruce

Thanks for the great info. I am wondering where did you get access to the
D&GFHS 1841 census info? Did you get them from LDS in Utah? You also
mentioned them missing in the 1841 census, so they may have moved to the
Port
Glasgow area, because Mary Ann I believe married Moses McCormick ( David's
Dad). David was born in 1849. Hence I will be looking for them in the 1851
census for PG area. At the end of your message you mention William but no
year
was stated for the birth. Thanks again for you assistance on the McHarries.
