Hi Janet
Divorce has been recognised since before 1855, although quite rare until
recent times as it involved a costly Court case. Since 1984, a register of
divorces has been kept by the registrar general.

Can any one tell me when divorce's became law in
Scotland ?
I have a family member and i have been unable to trace the second
marriage - someone may be telling porkies !
