re" old c.1570s Wigtownshire testament, some other farm animals
(according to my less than loosely accurate transcriptions) were :

5 ky & ane kew at 4 pund, total sum = 20 li./pounds.
27 yewis & wedders at 16 sh. = total sum 21 pounds 6sh,
.....( should be 21 pounds, 12 shillings ?)
80 sheip (approx) at 16 shillings, total sum = 64 li./pounds.
30 yold sheip at 16 shillings, total sum = 24 li./pounds.
6 lambes 5 shillings, total sum = 30 shillings.
twentie twa (22) oxin at 5 pounds 6sh 8-1/2d., total sum =
...ane hundreth seventeen pund (117 li./pounds) 7sh. 7d./pence.
