Dear All,

Would someone be able to tell me how i can view the Kirk Sessions for about
Jan 1897 to Jan 1898 for Sorbie?

My Grandmother Maggie COPELAND was born 31st July 1897 I have a copy of her
birth Certificate and also the Birth Record of Parish Sorbie County of
Wigtown from Edinburgh and ScotsPeople in that order. I am trying to find
her Fathers name and wondered if maybe it may be there in a Kirk Session.

Maggies Mother Annie COPELAND, her Parents (John and Jane) and some of
Annie's siblings moved down to Navestock in Essex, England between 1897 and
1901. Whilst searching for them on the 1901 Census find them but with a
Maggie C. McGARVA aged 3 and visitor - but not Maggie COPELAND.

So Grandmother Maggie is not in Scotland in 1901 and neither England -
infact cant find her anywhere ;o(

Annie had a sibling also called Maggie but she died in 1899 in Essex.

I am trying to make sure that I have a complete paper trail and this is more
than a little perforation!
