G'day All,

Does anyone have any knowledge of the Transit Camp in London Road, Stranraer, during the mid-1940s? What was it spurpose/ How long was it in existence?

I have a third cousin who lived for for a while, when he was an infant - so, obviously, has no personal memories of it.
