eldon,
the only reference I can find in
"South Carolina Waterways as they Appear in Mills Atlas Including Bridges
Ferries and Fords" Mariam D Cropper
is Neals Creek in Union County which runs into the Broad River.

Rocky River is in in Pendleton & Abbeville.

I have abstracts of four Old Pendleton Dist deeds for the period 1793 to
1804 that are for land on Neal's Creek on Rocky River. One deed spells
it Neal's Creek, another spells it Neil's Creek, and two spell it Neel's
Creek. Two questions:
Which present day county is the land in?
Which is the correct spelling for the creek name?
Thank you.
