Subject: [SD-ROOTS] Brand new to *this* list, looking for Highs in Flanders

Hi all,

I just found out recently through an obituary in a Whiteside County, IL
newspaper, that my great-great grandfather died in Flanders, South Dakota
in 1914. So far, I haven't been able to find a Flanders... Could it have
been a township? I'm not sure where to start looking for my family in this
state because I have no idea where they lived!

My relatives name was John D. High. Some of the following sons may have
gone there with him: David, William, Amos, Joseph, and Aaron. He and his
family were Mennonites in Illinois and Pennsylvania....
