Dear Joyce: Thanks for the offer. When you have completed collecting
all of the data and photographs, I would appreciate having a copy of it.
I will be able to transcribe data from the photos and will put it on the
Day Co WEB site with selected photographs. Because of limited memory
allocations, I will, of course, be unable to upload all the headstone
photos.
Thanks again.
Curt

C
My husband's family had a family reunion in Groton this past June. This
was a
gathering of the families of the six children of Samuel J Feller (Civil
War Vet)
and Nancy D Insley. I put together two books that contained updated
family
information, that would only be of interest to the family. Also
included was
the history of the Scotland Cemetery, Inc. located in Day County which
was
written by the secretary of Scotland Cemetery, Inc, Sharon Ragels
Lasley, and
the Veterans buried at the cemetery. This is a small cemetery which is
the
final resting place of many family members of both the Feller and Ragels
families. In the past, Scotland Cemetery Inc. has been known as the
Bates and
Scotland Cemetery. Anyway, while there I took pictures of all the
stones in the
cemetery and several pictures of the cemetery. It is my intention to
donate
this work so that people who are unable to visit this cemetery can still
view
the final resting place of family members.
I had discussed this in the early stages with Joy Fisher.
I expect to have this ready to transmit in another month or so. It is
my
intention to mail a cd which contains all the pictures I took along with
the
information Sharon and others have gathered. Our only intention was to
gather
the facts so they could be shared by all.
As far as I'm concerned, you can both have the information and post it
accordingly. Joy at one time mentioned securing the permission to use
the data.
Sincerely,
Joyce Ragels
