Please remember that I have worked mostly from Internet documents and census reports from about 1880 to today. I do have copies of quite a few Civil War pension documents that pertain to the Russell family between 1860 and 1880.
George E. Russell's parents were William Russell (born in 1857 and died after 1910) and Lizzie Barnes (born about 1864 and died before 1910).
William Russell's parents were Seneca D. Russell (born in 1812 in New York and died in 1882 in Whiteside County, Illinois) and Tabitha Rodgers (born about 1819 and died between 1890 and 1900 maybe in Nebraska). Seneca and Tabitha were my great-great-grandparents.
Seneca's parents were Richard Russell (born about 1791? in New York) and Permelia Duell/Deuel, daughter of Ebenezer (1757-1841). Ebenezer's line goes back to George Soule of the Mayflower two ways-so far as I can research from reliable books and the help of good genealogists.
I would very much like to have the obits of son Richard Russell and father George Russell. I have Minnie's and it was very helpful.
