If Wiebke MARKS died in 1997 in South Dakota, there should be a death certificate with names of his parents, place of birth, etc. If you get an exact date of death, you should be able to find obituary or other details in newspapers. Death certificates are available from the Department of Health, 523 E. Capitol, Pierre, SD 57501-3182.
