Reunion is a meeting of those who are interested in breaking down brickwalls
and finding family. Last year was our first attempt at having a conference.
It went very well. All funds that we raised we given 100% in 2002 to the
Johnson County Library for a purchase of a new microfilm reader. This year
all profits will go to the Societies who are participating this year. The
money will be utilized to continue with the preservation of our ancestors.
We hope that you will join us this year and make it another banner year.

Reunion Events and Menus

Events:
Please note that this agenda may change and is not yet written in stone.
Ongoing Events will be quilter displays, Scrapbooking displays and a few
juried craft tables along with our book venders.
July 10 Thursday evening:
Registration 5pm
Get together and exchange family sheets, get items organized for Saturday
and get to know each others. Some will be taking trips to various points of
interest in Johnson County. Dinner on your own. Vendors will start set up at
noon so if you are early you can do a little early shopping!
July 11 Friday
Registration 9 am - 10am
Johnson Co Convention Bureau will be on hand
Welcome to all who attend
Johnson, Lawrence and Martin County Historical Societies will have an
ongoing display of items from the past and they will be collecting stories
and material to use in the monthly quarterlies. Bring in your pictures and
family histories that you would like to see in these quarterlies.
Ongoing demonstrations and displays and lectures
Scrapbooking workshop. Materials can be purchased at class to make an
heirloom page.

*Nancy Sparks Morrison Melungeon Indians and Associated health studies
*Scrapbooking workshop. Materials can be purchased at class.
*Dinner in Recognition of the JCHS in honor of the Presidents and 20th
Anniversary
*Charity auction hosted by Jim Gambill to benefit the area Historical
Societies.. Jim can pick up items that are local or can be dropped at
various locations. Please be generous and donate any items you may have!!
Items can be used as long as they are in good condition! Not sure if
something is appropriate just call and ask!
Auction items can be dropped taken to Jim Gambill prior to the Reunion.

9 am Breakfast and sightseeing. Final chance to buy books etc.
1 pm Rice Family Memorial dedication

am doing the final checking and confirmations. We hope to add in few more
displays and lectures.

Notebook to keep track of notes, names and numbers
Any family pictures you want to have included online and in the Echo
Address labels. It sure beats writing out your address 100 times
Camera and lots of film
Your family sheets- Family trees
Think about having small business cards printed.
