This is in reply to the recent postings on this list concerning the SEARS
family in Pulaski Co., KY. I have a newspaper obituary clipping in my
possession for Dick Willis SEARS, my great-uncle, who married into my PYLES
family. His children and grandchildren are my cousins. The obituary
appeared in the Decatur Herald & Review newspaper, Decatur, IL. The text is
as follows:

"SEARS

Dick Willis Sears, 70, of 256 S. Price St. died 2:01 p.m. Saturday (June
25, 1983) in Carle Hospital, Urbana.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Harristown Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Brintlinger's Pershing Funeral Home.
Mr. Sears was born in Somerset, Ky., son of Darty Alfred and Rozella
Sears. He was retired from Macon Materials Inc., a member of Church of the
Nazarene and Operators Local 965 and a former member of the Teamsters union.
He married Evelyn G. Leach in 1969.
Surviving are his wife; son Joe of Decatur; daughter, Mrs. Duane (Lori)
Stovall of Decatur; brother, Henry of Decatur; sister, Alta Carter of
Decatur; four grandchildren.
Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death."
