Subject: [SELF] If anyone can help...
Date: Sun, 29 Mar 1998 18:58:07 -0800
This letter was sent to Cousin David, and he suggested that someone on the
list might be able to help.
I have checked on "Switchboard," and the location (Hitchcock, TX) and the
phone number are legitimate.

Dear Mr. Self,
You are probably the wrong David Self but we have to try all the
possibilities to find our missing son. Our David disappeared six years ago
and no trace of him has ever been found. We've hired a private
investigator and done all the things we could to find him with no
success. This is proberly our last try.
We only want to know whether he is alive and happy. If he does not want to
have contact with us, we can accept that. A lot has changed in our family
but not a day goes by that I do not think of him. We love him very much.
You are probably not our son and need not acknowledge this letter in
any way. Please do not let our pain affect you and your family. Thank you
for reading this and God bless you.
Sincerely,
Joan & Jim Self

The letter was sent from Hitchcock, Texas.
I have not contacted this family, but I am going to let them know I sent
this to the Self newletter on the Internet.
