Hi Janet: I read your posting and was wondering if in your research on the
Self Family if you had come across a Vincent or Mary Hannah Self. Mary
Hannah and her husband, James Story had a daughter Nancy who married a Henry
Miller and their daughter, Mary Hannah Miller, married my gr gr gr
grandfather, James C. Cameron b. 1821. James C.'s sister, Elizabeth Cameron,
married James Campbell Story, who was a son of James Story and Mary Hannah
Self Story. They also had a daughter named Mary Hannah. Listed in James
C..s house hold was a Samuel Rogers who, after James death, apparently was a
guardian of James' sons. I have been trying to find out more about James
Cameron's parents for many years and all I can find is that his father's name
was Daniel. I believe that the Selfs, Storys and Camerons traveled to TN
from either NC or Agusta Co, VA. and that they may have traveled together. I
know that Daniel Cameron was in Rutherford Co., TN in 1807. I wold be most
appreciative of any info you may have come across re these families. My
