I found some information that may be incomplete from Cousin Mary about Jehu
Chastain Self. She indicted that Jehu & wife Margaret Kerlee went from Georgia
to Washington state, but I don't know if she knows that the family actually
spent quite a few years in the Durango, Co area. That is were Jehu's wife died
after the last child was born in 1887. Their son Charlie stayed in Durango and
married my g-grandmother Maude Spining and they had several children, one of
which is my grandmother Elizabeth Self. Elizabeth married Walter Henry Crawley.
They had one son, my father Vernon Ray Crawley (who is still alive) so I am
getting this straight from the horses mouth so to speak. I have documentation
as well. KIMM
