Are there any WILLIS surnames showing up married into this SELF line? I am
looking for MARGARET WILLIS, b. 1838, Georgia; d. 25 March 1900, Catoosa
Co., Georgia; m. JOHN J. SELF; d. Unknown. She is the daughter of James
Willis and Easter Wilson. In the 1870 census this James Willis is widowed
and living in the household of John J. & Margaret Willis SELF in Union.
This James Willis is a cousin of my Willis line in
Rutherford/Lincoln/Cleveland county area of North Carolina and married into
my SELF line - both my great grandmother & great, great grandmothers were
both Willis (1st cousins and mother/dauther-in-laws). Have not been able to
locate this John J. Self and his relatives. Also might find the link from
the North Carolina and Geogia SELF lines.Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Diana
