Dear List, Due to a very generous Self researcher I have a number of copies
of Marriage Bond and Marriage Bond/Marriage Certificates for various Self's
from Daviess County, KY.
Marriage bonds I have are for:
Jno (as spelled on bond) Self and Mary Jane Hill, dated 10 Dec 1874 (year
hard to read). Bond #130? (can't read last number). Note: John Self was the
brother of my great grandmother Cassie Self.
W. P. Self to Cassie June Self, dated 29 August 1878, Bond #323. Note: These
are my great grandparents.
Samuel Vanover to Mrs. Cassie Self, dated 12 Sept 1900, Bond #256. Note:
Cassie's second marriage.
J. T. Self to Julie F. Nasmith, date 23 June 1875, Bond #360. Note: Would
like to know how this Self is related to mine. Note: Wondering if this is
Thomas Jefferson Self that married Julie Nesmith. Realize date and place are
different that those on the internet for them.
Otho Berry to Maudie Self, dated 27 Feb 19?? (very faint but believe it is
1911) Bond #424.
C. C. Self to Effie Arnold, dated 30 October 1900, Bond # 332.
Marriage Bond/Marriage Certificates are as follows:
J. F. Merritt to Julie Self, Bond dated 18 March 1881, Marriage Certificate
dated 20 March 1881. No. 191. Note. Julie Self is spelled this way at the
top of the Bond but on the certificate it is Mrs. Jullie Self.
T. J. Self to Mary E. Cline, Bond dated 19 Feb 1881, Marriage Certificate
dated 20 Feb 1881. No. 157.
W. V. Crabtree to Unice Self, Bond dated 10 Apr. 1907, Marriage Certificate
dated 10 Apr 1907, No. 18. This is my great Aunt and I believe her name was
spelled Eunice.
C. H. Self to Dora Ann Stringer, Bond dated 31 Dec 1891, Marriage Certificate
dated 31 Dec 31, 1891, no number on this certificate but also there is an
Affidavit from Robert Stringer, brother to Dora Ann Stringer stating that she
was
23 "years old in October last" and "the object of the affidavit being to
procure marriage access for her". I believe this C. H. Self is the son of
Thomas
Self and Catherine Green and brother to my great grandfather William Self.
John H. Vanover to Mrs. Catherine Self, Bond dated 10 April 1882, Marriage
Certificate dated 12 April 1882, Bond # 62? (faint and hard to read). Catherine
Self, I believe, is the widow of Thomas Self and mother of my great
grandfather William Self.
E. H. Self to Olga Bates, Bond dated 23 March 1889, Marriage Certificate
dated 24 March 1889, No. 199.
Jas. W. E. Carden to Willie P. Self, Bond dated 2 July 1913, Marriage
Certificate dated 2 July 1913, No. 403. Willie P. Self was the daughter of
Cassie
and William Self and my great Aunt.
Charles(ie) H. Self to Florence F. Feldpausch, Bond dated 19 April 1915,
Marriage Certificate dated 20 April 1915, No. 30, Charles, born Daviess County,
age 27, Florence, born Daviess County, age 21, Parents of Husband William H. &
Cassie Self, Parents of Wife, Peter and Mary Feldpausch.
Floyd Turner Hancock to Rachel Helen Self, Bond dated 21 January 1933,
Marriage Certificate dated 21 January 1933, No. 35, Floyd born Daviess County,
age
20, Rachel born Daviess County, age 21, Parents of Floyd, L. M. and Rosie
Hancock, Parents of Rachel, J. H. and Nannie (nee Arnold) Self. J. H. Self is
James Self, son of William and Cassie Self.
George Hancock to Ruby Self, Bond dated 22 April 1933, Marriage Certificate
dated 22 April 1933, No. 4?3 (believe it is either 403 or 463) George born
Daviess County, age 24, Ruby born Daviess County, age 19, Parents of George L.
M.
and Rosie Hancock, Parents of Ruby J. H. and Nannie (nee Arnold) Self. Note:
Rachel (above) and Ruby are sisters that married brothers.
Please note that these are all legal size documents and I do not have the
ability to scan them in but I will be happy to copy them and mail them to you if
you have a relationship to any of the above people. Hopefully I will find a
