Hello Don,

I suggest that you have a look in "The Times". As you have the date of the
execution, you can check out that particular issue of the newspaper and then
work your way back to an account of the trial.

There is also the "Brighton Examiner" and "Brighton Herald" which are
available on microfilm at Brighton Reference Library. Also the "Brighton
Gazette" available in hard copy at Brighton Reference Library. The other
Brighton based newspaper, the "Brighton Guardian" was around at that time,
but it is not available in Sussex for the date quoted - there is a copy at
the British Newspaper Library.

Alternatively, it might be covered in one of the many books written about
the LBSCR.
