I own all six volumes published so far of the advertisements of Irish seeking missing friends and relatives, etc. They cover the period 1830 to 1870 so far. If you get lucky and find someone in one of these ads you may find out where the person is from, when they sailed, what they sailed on, dates, or specific locations or even physical descriptions.
They make wonderful reading.
