Back in those days, Nuns / Sisters (there is a difference, but unless you
are one it's a minor technicality) _NEVER_ traveled alone. At least always
two, if possible three at a time. Especially on longer trips. If you can
locate the "Mother House" of the congregation they will have extensive
archives. Unless somewhere burned down. Though if there is no "archivist",
it could be that everything is in boxes in an attic or basement with no
indexing or organization until the day someone is proposed for sainthood
then everyone will search. That's why they have them.
