Eoch, or each = horse
Chadh = warrior, I think.
I found no "CHADA" word so it may be a phonetic mispelling of CHADH.
I find many names with the "chadh" at the end of them.
Finnchadh = "Red warrior" for instance.
Murchadh = "Sea warrior".
So, I assume that Eochchadh would mean a mounted warrior or maybe a knight?
Usually the "h" as you show it, would be preceeded with "O', and
followed by a hyphen, as in O'h-Eochagain, which name was
anglicised as HAUGHION.
EOCHAIDH was a popular name in Irish legends.
I think it would be difficult to pin that onto one particular
surname, if that is what you are trying to do.
