As my wife's recalls - on St. Steven's Day, they had the Wren Boys. They
dressed up like Halloween and go from door to door -- singing and playing
music. Others would go with a holly bush all decorated. They might have had
a wren or make believe one on it-the would sing " the wren, the wren that you
may see is hanging on a holly tree - Mrs. Murphy(or whoever lived there) is a
good women and to the house we brought the wren. Up with her kettle and down
with pan, give the wren boys something. There might be more to it. take
