Reposting my mcgrath search.
Looking dfor info on my ggfather George McGrath born abt 1843, I heard Co.
Cork.
Then he moved to either Co Clare so says my cousin or Co. Killkenny So said
my mother.
I am inclined to believe my mother on this, although she isn,t around to
confirm it.
He settled in Newburgh, Ny, married my ggmother RoseMary McCleary in the
Associate Reform Church Newburgh Dec. 16, 1861. My gfather also George McGrath
born 1862.
Another Son Robert H> McGrath born 1863 and died sept 1864.
GGfather killed in the Civil War, Petersburgh Va. July 30, 1864
Got a little ahead of myself, he joined the Union Army in Newburgh, Jan 14,
1864
98th NY Infantry Co. "C".
Ant info or connection would be great.
