We are Shanahans originally from Co. Cork, but town is unknown, at this point. Just wondering if there is some connections since we would love to have a town to relate to. James Shanahan was born in 1850 in Ireland. Father Patrick, mother Eliza (nee unknown). Married in Chicago Illinois to Margaret Doyle from Wexford. Children were Joseph, William, John and James. Any connection would be appreciated.
