Hi Richard and Simon,

I was aware of other Shankland's who made the qualifications but in order to
be a member of one of these societies you need to be a direct line
descendant. The only direct line descendant of ours who lived in that time
frame is David and his Children.

William D 1730 John D 1740 David b 1737 d 1810 (39 yrs old at start of
war) John B 1762 (14 yrs old at start of war)
