Researching the Samuel Sherman family NY>CT>OH>MI.

A cousin has recently informed me that he was able to locate 18 Samuel
Shermans in the 1830 NY state census. 8 of these gentlemen are of the
right age group as our Samuel Sherman (b. 1805), his wife Emily last
name unknown (b. 1808 also NY state). Their son Hiram Hunter Sherman
(b. in CT 1833-1842). Searching for information regarding any of these
individuals. Any ideas and advice as to how to narrow the search
