Page 412 under Miscellaneous has: "A John Shoemaker, butcher, born in
Pennsylvania, lived in Hillsborough, Highland County, Ohio in 1850. His wife
was Martha E., age 41, born in Maryland."

I saw this entry before, but did not mention it because we weren't looking
in Ohio, and because this Martha E was born ca 1809, whereas your Martha E
was born in 1855. However, it is possible that these two are related, one or
two generations back (i.e., parents or more likely grandparents of your
Martha E).

Unfortunately, there is no additional info, other than what I have listed
above.

The only other Martha I see in Ohio has father Samuel, mother Mary.
