Dear Dale, The Sibole name is from Germandy, It was orginally Seybold,as far as I can tell. Ichabod Sibole is an ancestor of mine. His daughter Ellen, or Eleanor married William McDonald , they named my g-grandfather ,James Ichabod McDonald. My name is Merry Miller ,maiden name is McDonald.Ichabod Sibole was born in Loudan County,va then moved to Berkley county Va,NOW W,VA. HE FOUGHT IN THE WAR OF 1812 ,BUT LOST HIS PAPERS.i BELIEVE HE MOVED TO BERKLEY COUNTY AFTER THE WAR OF 1812. sINCERELY Merry miller
