Fordie W. Silver was born in May 1883 at Chateaugay, Franklin County, NY, son of William Silver and Amanda. He appears in the 1900 census at Chateaugay, age 17, living with an older brother, Ralph and his family. In 1910 at Burke, Franklin County, NY, he is married to Eva and has a daughter Myrtle born in 1909. There was also a son, Everett, b 1912 who d young. His wife is Eva Furman. He took his family to NH and abandoned them. Eva divorced him in 1913 and remained in NH. Fordie W. appears back in Permila, Jefferson County, NY in 1920 with a different wife, Maude and four children. Claude, b 1909, Kenneth, b 1912, Corrine, b 1913, and Dorothy, b abt. 1917.
His age is correct in each census. His occupation is the same, teamster, and it appears he was having children with two different women at the same time. Fordie is a very uncommon name and maybe short for Fordon/Forden which was used among Ontario relations.
Love to find some descendants for another take on this.
