I purchased, and have for sale, a $5 patent map of the 1869 Patent of a
Catherine Silvis in Loyalhanna Township, Pa. I purchased it as the quickest
way to figure out when she patented her land--I had a farfetched idea she
was someone else. Anyway, her Patent of 939 acres is very nearly on the
Loyalhanna Creek and shows, as an overlay, over the present-day roads and
owners by plot numbers. She may have eventually deeded the land to a John
Lemon. So, if anyone's interested, for $5 plus 75 cents postage, it's all
yours!
