Subject: [SILVIUS] How ironic . . .

It is so ironic that we were speaking last weekend of the Bergman and
Silvius connection in relation to them as baptism sponsors. In continuing
to try to map the area around Nicholas Silvius' land in Moore Township, I
received a survey map from the Pa. State Archives for another tract of
Baltzar "Staehle" and ironically the adjoiners to this property are
Frederick Bergman and Jost Yotter. Jost Yotter/Jotter was the father of
Maria Jotter who was a single sponsor, along with #63 Henry Silvius, to the
baptism of baby Henrich Bergman in 1788. Maria Jotter ultimately married
Henry Werner. The Jost Jotter warranted his land in 1785 and possibly were
on the land as early as 1784 if not earlier. A Jotter/Yotter researcher
(Harry Werner) maintains there is no connection between the Silvius and the
Yotters beyond being neighbors. And he said a year ago there was no
connection between the Yotters and the Bergmans and I've asked him to
confirm this.

The updated map is at:

When you look at this map and the list of the owners, you will see that
Nicholas Silvius had some sort of connection with most of these neighbors,
maybe more than I even listed at this site.
