I'm looking for information on the Ruth Craig Simmons and her family. They were listed in th 1800 Census in Orange Co. NC. Her husband is believed to have been a John Simmons who either died in the Rev. War or soon after. She had a very large family as follows:
John, Lewis, James, Jesse, Peter, Thomas, Sally, Joseph, Jehu, Benjamin, William, and Caleb Simmons.
At least some of these children were later in Grainger Co. TN and then from there they moved on mostly to MO.
I would like any information that I can get on these people and any info on there children. I'm paticularly interested in the John Simmons.
