I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather, John H. SIMPSON. The
1900 census of DeKalb Co AL indicates that he was born Jan 1866 in Georgia and
his parents were from South Carolina. He married Mary M. Whitmire in DeKalb
Co AL in 1891. He may have had a younger brother named William V. SIMPSON.

There are several other Simpson families in this county in 1900, 1910 and
1920. Some came from GA and SC; others came from TN. I'd be glad to give
this information to anyone who is interested.
