The courthouse in Henderson County, Tennessee burned three times during
the civil war and most of the old records were lost. I understand that
most of the early settlers of this county came from North Carolina.
There are cemetery inscriptions for some Singletons. However the
earliest birth date is around the period of the civil war. If you send
me a name I will search for it.
