I am a new subscriber to the list and would like to know what it's purpose is
and also get some advice...maybe the two go hand in hand.

I have collected a number of wills of my ancestors, with slaves listed, and
I know the whereabouts on the internet of several others (under site
copyright). I understand that there are places that collect such wills and
provide assistance to those trying to determine their slave ancestry.

I'd like to know how to be of help.
