Subject: [SLAVE-OWNERS] Former Jones slave holders from pre-Civl War Alabama

Are there any descendants out there who can trace their lineage to former
Jones planters from southern Alabama?

Why am I asking?

Well, I am searching for the last possible owner of Hiram Jones, my ggg
grandfather, who was born circa 1835 possibly on a Jones planation somewhere
in either Butler, Dallas, Wilcox, Lowndes, Conecuh, Monroe or Crenshaw
counties...or possibly in another state...who knows at this point....

Hiram's wife was named Celia....both their parents were born in Georgia....
