I recently went to the National Archives in Washington DC and now have
copies of the pension files for the following persons that served in the
Civil War from Kentucky and Tennessee:
Pleasant Slavey (Slaven) b. 1822/23 in TN, parents unknown, possilby
Richard Slaven
his sons:
William C. Slavey
George W. Slavey
James Miller Slavey
Noah Slavey, parents unknown
Dianacius Slaven, parents unknown
Elias M. Slaven, son of Absolem P. Slaven
Richard Slaven, son of Absolem P. Slaven
John Wesley Slaven, son of Absolem P. Slaven
Jefferson Slaven, son of Absolem P. Slaven
Granville Slaven, possibly son of Absolem P. Slaven
I would like to share DOCUMENTED information on the above individuals. If
you are interested, copies of the pension files and or fully referenced
family group sheets can be provided.
