I have just joined ancestry.com and want to run some offbeat data on this
list.. I am tracking any info on William Stuart Slavens that does not appear
in the T.H. Slavens book or the F.L. Slaven book.
I found the following about the marriage of William Stuart Slavens to
Elizabeth Elsbury

Elsbary, Betsy married Stewart, Slavens on 20 Aug 1818 in Bourbon County,
Kentucky

This one was so odd, that I thought I post it. Note the reversal of surname
and first name. Anyone know about this variation to the August 25, 1818 date
and Montgomery Co.location I have my notes (naturally from the 2 books
mentioned above)

I keep wondering if William Stuart Slavens lived and worked alongside his
father Isaiah or his brother Reuben. He just doesn't appear on any census
index I have checked. Anyone seem William Stuart S.(1789-1868) on any
census? Would appreciate any clues.
