I tried to reply earlier to the SMALLWOOD list but it got kicked back to me.
Then the administrator thought he sent the note on, but apparently did not.

Here is what I have:

Thomas SMALLWOOD b. 1819 GA d. 11 Feb 1887 at residence Douglas Co., MO cause of
death boiler explosion. m. Lucinda WALDEN b. 1821 GA.
Children of Thomas and Lucinda (Walden) SMALLWOOD:
1. William J. b. 1841 - not proven listed in federal census with family only
2. Mariah b. 1841 - not proven listed in federal census with family only
3. James D. b. 17 Nov 1843 GA d. 23 Jul 1921 Douglas Co., MO Sources:
Civil War pension, obit
4. Thomas Newton (Newt) b. 8 Nov 1845 Ducktown, TN d. 6 Dec 1925 Denlow,
Douglas Co., MO Sources: CW pension and obit
5. Elisha A. J. (Lige) SMALLWOOD b. 31 Mar 1848 was buried in Fairview
Cemetery, Douglas Co., MO. Date of death was 13 Sep. 1928. Millie Garrison
indicated Lige went to Washington state around 1902 and left for Oregon sometime
later. Federal Census 1880, Douglas Co., MO Household #432
Wife, Mary Ann ??? buried in Douglas Co. also. Her death date 18 Feb. 1910. In
the 1880 census, it lists both her parents from NC.

2nd wife of Thomas b. 1819 was Lucinda MOATS m. Lumpkin Co., GA on 28 Aug 1859
CHILDREN:
1. Caroline b. 1860 TN m. George W. CRAIN - My great grandparents She could
have been born as early as 1857 and in the first family since 1860 census had
her age as 3. I just realized this! Hey, Frances S. this might mean we're more
closely related! :>)
2. Benjamin E. b. 1864 TN
3. George Washington b. 1866 TN d. 31 Oct 1948 in Washington state per
Millie
4. General Jr. b. 1869/70 MO

1885 Douglas Co., MO Personal Property Assessment List

Douglas Co., MO Deed record dated 1 Jun 1892 lists heirs (most of the above
named children) of Thomas SMALLWOOD and heirs of (father of George W.) CRAIN.
This deed record also listed Wyema LANDERS and Leva GREENLEE as heirs to Thomas.
Have not been able to find anything on them. Do you have anything?
