o I ordered a copy of a Civil War pension file from the
National Archives and was sent the wrong file. I would be happy
to send this file to a relative of this soldier: Robert M SMITH,
rank: Major, 78th PA Volunteer Infantry Company K. He applied
for the pension in 1897 when he said he was 56 years old and
was living in Cherokee County, Iowa.
