I just subscribed for 1 year. I am a former subscriber. There are a lot of
things I do not like about Ancestry.com. I think if enough people sent in a
complaint they might wise-up, but I doubt it. They have a monopoly on
genealogy. And I hate to enter my information and have them sell it to
other. I suppose they would say their service is like the water company: the
water is free but it cost money to pump it to your house. I honestly do not
know what the answer is other than sending them letters?

Also the results that you get are so wide ranged and most lead to nothing!
