My gggg-grandfather, Joseph Oliver SMITH (b 9/30/1810 in Berks Co. PA, d.
6/20/1881 in Jackson Twp., Seneca C., OH) married Mary STIFFLER before 1830
(b. 5/5/1811 based on tombstone age in Greenfield Twp., Bedford Co., PA, d.
4/29/1886 in Jackson Twp., Seneca Co., OH). Both sets of parents were born
in PA.

Joseph and Mary had a daughter, Eliza, b. 7/15/1830 in PA and then moved
sometime prior to 1832 to Stark CO., OH

The third child was Samuel b. 5/10/1834 in Stark Co., OH and d. i1/22/1916
in Defiance Co., OH. He served in Co. F ,131st PVI, enlisting 3/2/1862; then
re-enlisted in Co. D, 74th PVI and was discharged 8/20/1866. Samuel lived in
Defiance, had 6 children; wife ??.

SamuelÂ’s first child was Oliver b. 1856, d. abt. 31 Jul 1895 of infected
tooth surgery. Oliver had 7 children, my grandfather, Guy Foster (b.
7/22/1886 in Defiance, Defiance Co., OH, d. 2/24/1969 in West Hartford,
Hartford Co., CT) being number 4.

If you think you may fit in this line, I can fill in info on other children
with their birth and death dates, and sometimes marriage data.
