This list seems more active than usual, so I'll try again. Does anyone have any Smiths that came from Kentucky to Tennessee? My Hiram M. Smith was born in Kentucky in 1794 and married Mary Jenkins in Tennessee around 1815, two of their daughters were born there, but I don't know what county. They had settled in Alabama by 1821 where their other children were born. Their children are:
Nancy, b. 1815 in Tennessee
Elizabeth A., b. 1817 in Tennessee (married James A. Collingsworth, who was a preacher in Marshall County, TN, where I found them on the 1850 census)
Mary B. Smith, b. 1821 in Alabama
John M. Smith, b. 1822 in Alabama
James M. Smith, b. 1824 in Alabama
William George Washington Smith, b. 1828 in Alabama
Margaret E. Smith, b. 1830 in Alabama
Hannah Jane Smith, b. 1832 in Alabama
